Paradise

Our family built a cabin out in BC and took the opportunity to visit Paradise Mine, located in the wildlife sanctuary of the Purcells, a stone's throw from the Bugaboos. Paradise was established during the gold rush and mined for its silver. The 13 km jaunt to the summit was cleared of its own railroad; however, an unexpected stop was Spring Creek Falls. Inspired by the trip and the mountains' quiet beauty, I broke out an old canvas and painted this within a day.
