I remember my high school art teacher, Mr. Prada telling us true art is taking an everyday item and sharing its beauty; he said this as we technically marvelled at one of the charcoal drawings a student did of a cover model. I distinctly remember him telling us - now see the drawing beside it... that dustpan... what she could do to an ordinary dustpan- now that's art.
There is something satisfying and calming capturing our everyday life. A tribute to our houseplants. The aloe plant, an everyday healer on standby ready for my next boo-boo!
